Mitsubishi Advanced Safety

FCM: Forward Collision Mitigation

This Mitsubishi safety feature helps minimize the potential for danger and frontal collisions. Using laser radar and camera technology, Forward Collision Mitigation detects if a collision is imminent and will alert you both visually and audibly. The system will also automatically apply moderate to emergency braking to minimize the severity of a collision, if not help you avoid it altogether.

LDW: Lane Departure Warning

Mitsubishi's Lane Departure Warning function does its part to help you stay in an optimal lane position. This feature uses an onboard camera to monitor lane position in front of your Mitsubishi and will either flash a visual alert or send feedback through your steering wheel if it senses you've drifted out of position.

LDP: Lane Departure Prevention

This function helps you stay in your lane with the help of an onboard camera. When you depart from your lane accidentally, Lane Departure Prevention will activate individual wheel brake control to get you back to safety and in your original position.

RCTA: Rear Cross Traffic Alert

Backing out of tight spaces with reduced visibility has never been easier, as Mitsubishi's Rear Cross Traffic Alert detects vehicles coming from either side of you while you're reversing. If it senses an approaching vehicle, the system will flash a warning in your digital instrument cluster, sound an alert in your cabin, or flash the warning lights in your side mirrors.

Rear AEB: Rear Automatic Emergency Braking

By using sonar sensors in your rear bumper, objects can be detected behind your Mitsubishi vehicle. If you get too close to an approaching obstacle, the Rear Automatic Emergency Braking function will sound a warning and automatically apply the brakes if needed to reduce the odds of an accident.

MVCS: Multi View Camera System

Mitsubishi's Multi View Camera System gives you a complete 360° view of your vehicle to make easy work of parking and nestling your Mitsubishi into tighter spots. With cameras mounted in the front, back, and sides of your Mitsubishi, this system rids you of blind spots and takes the edge off even the toughest parking attempts.

BSW: Blind Spot Warning

Blind Spot Warning will help you avoid venturing into the next lane when it isn't safe. Not only will the feature detect vehicles moving faster or at the same speed as you in your blind spots, it will also flash the warning light of your corresponding side mirror. If ever you activate your indicator while a vehicle is in your blind spot, a warning light on the correct side will begin blinking and an audible alert will tell you it isn't safe to change lanes.

ASBA: Active Blind Spot Assist

The Active Blind Spot Assist function can intervene to help you avoid a collision when danger isn't in your line of vision. After detecting vehicles in neighbouring lanes and issuing an initial warning, this system will apply the brakes to help you stay out of danger, even if you can't see it.

ACC: Adaptive Cruise Control

Mitsubishi's Adaptive Cruise Control uses radar technology to detect vehicles ahead and adjust your cruising speed to help you stay at a safe distance. If ever you choose to move out of your lane or speed up to pass the vehicle in front of you, this Mitsubishi advanced safety feature will return your vehicle to its set speed once you've completed your maneuver.

LKA: Lane Keep Assist

As part of the lauded MI-PILOT Assist suite, Lane Keep Assist does its part to keep you centered in your lane by monitoring lane markings. If ever you begin drifting out of position, this feature will make minor steering adjustments to get you back in an optimal position, although your hands must always remain on the wheel.

AHB: Auto High Beams

Mitsubishi's Auto High Beams take the edge off nighttime drives. This setting shuts your high beams off as oncoming traffic gets near, and automatically activates them once the coast is clear to ensure peak visibility.

DAA: Driver Attention Alert

This Mitsubishi safety feature stays attuned to your driving habits and lets you know when it senses your attention is divided. Driver Attention Alert monitors your steering input and issues a warning if it senses fatigue or a lack of concentration.

TSR: Traffic Sign Recognition

As a member of Mitsubishi's MI-PILOT Assist system, Traffic Sign Recognition helps you adjust seamlessly to changes in rules and regulations. With the help of your Mitsubishi's navigation system and an onboard camera, this feature will detect changes in speed limits and adjust accordingly to ensure that you stay on the right side of the law.

TPMS: Tire Pressure Monitoring System

True to its name, this feature keeps a watchful eye on your Mitsubishi's tires. If it senses that one or any of your tires needs air, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System will warn you through your digital instrument display.
